The smallest room in the building and the one that had been rebuilt most often. Everything portable had already gone; what was left was the bracket, the stubs of two pipes and the tile, which somebody had laid badly in about 1968 and nobody had ever replaced. I worked here in the afternoons because the morning belonged to the demolition survey.
